Measuring impact has become increasingly difficult for non-profit organisation, especially when they are also attempting to solve other complicated issues influenced by civic, individual and corporate behaviour.

In the last decade, watchdog agencies have introduced new metrics for non-profit effectiveness, with one of them being Outcome Measurement. This encourages non-profit organisations to change their focus onto how they that have impacted change, rather than what they are doing.
